We believe that the bicycle represents freedom.

Ride for Racial Justice is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and exists to ensure access to resources, education, and community for Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) cyclists and to dismantle systemic racism so that EVERYONE can feel safe, free, and empowered to ride a bicycle.

Community Rides

Join us for our free rides to build community around the joy and freedom of the bicycle. We encourage attendees to have tough conversations, building solidarity and allyship for the BIPOC community, and riding together.

BIPOC Athlete Program

Representation matters. Tomorrow’s BIPOC cyclists and coaches need today’s leaders and brands to be a stand for them. We prioritize BIPOC voices with BIPOC leadership, as well as mentorship opportunities for BIPOC coaches and cyclists.

Bikes = Freedom

We believe everyone should have access to a bicycle, to necessary gear, and to education on how to ride safely. Through programing and partnerships we focus on helping BIPOC community members access the tangible resources to get started.

“The modern day movement for racial justice has garnered national and international support through powerful protests and demonstrations. Yet now is the time for a strategic push for lasting change in cycling through our mission—changing social norms with government and industry policies, while advocating for education and greater representation.”
